About Me

Welcome, I'm Jessica. Ever since I can remember, I have had a deep passion for helping others understand their innermost thoughts and emotions to help them express themselves and feel seen. A lot of this passion stemmed from my own experience with battling a lifelong chronic illness, which lead me to develop a deep knowledge and appreciation into the power of therapy and moving toward inner healing. Using my experience and knowledge, I adapt my therapeutic approach to the individual needs of my clients. I use a person centered and trauma informed approach that encompasses elements that stem from self-compassion, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Adlerian, as well Internal Family Systems parts work, emotion regulation based techniques.
I completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Carleton University in 2014 and later received my Masters degree in Counselling Psychology in 2017 from the University of Ottawa.
I am both a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and I am currently a Registered Psychotherapist License# 009695 with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Currently I am working with clients in private practice over the phone and virtually using video calling.
Outside of therapy you can find me running around after my mischievous little Shih Tzu (who you might see or hear during our time together), watching all the movies with theatre popcorn, singing, listening to music, dying my hair yet another colour, or snuggled up with a good book and cozy blanket.
I'd love to get to know you and hear your story.
My private practice is supervised by:
